Overture Indoor Air Quality Monitoring for Medical Facilities
In a medical facility, air quality is part of patient safety. Two things drive the risk: fine particulate (PM2.5), which carries most of the indoor health load, and carbon dioxide (CO2), which tells you how well a space is actually being ventilated. Joe Allen's Harvard Healthy Buildings work ties rising CO2 to measurable cognitive decline, and ventilation effectiveness is central to infection control in patient and waiting areas.
The hard part is that you cannot manage what you cannot see. Overture is The Automated IAQ System. It continuously monitors the air room by room and, when a reading crosses your threshold, it automates an action: turn on an exhaust fan, push an ERV to boost mode, switch on a make-up air fan, or run the air handler blower to circulate and filter air. From a small urgent care clinic to a full hospital, you see every space in one place and the system responds without anyone having to watch a screen.
How Overture Works
Overture pairs commercial-grade Room Sensors with a web-based interface, so your team gets real-time readings and automated responses across the whole facility.
Overture Room Sensors
Add as many Overture Room Sensors as your facility needs, one per space you want to watch. They plug into a standard outlet, never need battery changes or recharges, and continuously track:
- Carbon dioxide (CO2), in ppm
- Fine particulate matter (PM2.5), in µg/m³
- Total volatile organic compounds (TVOC)
- Humidity and dew point (dew point is the primary measure of moisture risk for mold and condensation)
- Temperature, in °F
Overture does something no standalone IAQ sensor does: when paired with compatible ventilation equipment, it takes an action on its own. No other IAQ sensors can do this. The sensor measures; the system responds.
One Facility, One View
Watch every monitored room from a single web-based interface, built to scale from a single clinic to a multi-building hospital. You get clear per-room status, a fast layout, and historical trends so you can prove performance over time. The Overture app fits roughly 1 to 10 locations; the web-based interface is built for larger sites, roughly 50 to 500 locations and up, so the system grows with your facility rather than capping it.
