Action
Overture does not stop at measuring the air. It takes an action: turn on a bath fan, switch an ERV to boost mode, run a range hood, start a dehumidifier, activate make-up air, or run the forced-air blower to circulate and filter the air. No other IAQ sensor does this out of the box.
Convenience
Manage Overture from the Overture app for roughly 1 to 10 locations, or from the web-based interface for roughly 50 to 500 locations. They work together, so one home or a portfolio of hundreds is the same simple workflow.
Evidence
In 2025 Overture supported a field study by TRC, paid for by California's CalNEXT program (report ET24SWE0015, final report December 19th, 2025). The report describes a "field demonstration at 17 dwelling units in two multi-family housing sites to evaluate IAQ performance, energy impacts, and user satisfaction." Its finding: "The results show that smart ventilation systems can maintain acceptable IAQ while reducing ventilation runtime compared to continuously operating systems provided the underlying ventilation infrastructure is properly designed and functioning."
