Overture Air Quality Monitoring and Automated Control for Manufacturing Facilities

Overture Indoor Air Quality Monitoring for Manufacturing Facilities

From Air Data to Air Control. Healthy Air, Without the Effort. Overture is The Automated IAQ System. On a plant floor you are dealing with welding fume and process dust (PM2.5), solvent and coating off-gassing (TVOC), and uneven ventilation that lets CO2 climb in tight or crowded areas. Overture Room Sensors measure those conditions in real time, and Overture does what no other IAQ sensor can do: it automates an action to fix them.

Why Air Quality Monitoring Matters in Manufacturing

Poor indoor air on a production floor shows up as respiratory complaints, sick days, and slower, less accurate work. CO2 rising past roughly 1,000 ppm in occupied areas is a direct sign your ventilation is not keeping up, and cognition declines measurably well before that. PM2.5 carries the bulk of the health load, with the EPA limit set at 35 µg/m³ over 24 hours and 12 µg/m³ annual. Overture Room Sensors track the conditions that matter, in this order:

  • CO2 (ventilation effectiveness and worker cognition, target around 550 ppm)
  • PM2.5 (fine particulate from process dust, fume, and combustion)
  • TVOC (solvents, coatings, adhesives, and process off-gassing)
  • Humidity (corrosion, condensation, and material handling)
  • Temperature (in degrees Fahrenheit)

Where moisture matters, Overture reports dew point directly, which is the variable that actually governs condensation on cold surfaces and equipment. Relative humidity is the derived convenience; dew point is the real measure.

Overture™ Does Not Just Monitor. It Takes Action

Plenty of systems will show you a number on a dashboard. Only Overture acts on it. Out of the box, Overture can automate a response when readings move out of range: turn on an exhaust or range hood, switch an ERV to boost mode, start a make-up air fan, run a dehumidifier, or turn on the forced-air blower to circulate air through your existing HVAC system and its filter. No other IAQ sensors can do this.

Overture is not an air purifier. It does not clean the air itself. It measures conditions accurately and triggers the equipment you already have, so the problem gets corrected instead of just logged. For multi-site operations, the Overture web-based interface manages roughly 50 to 500 locations from one view, while the Overture app covers roughly 1 to 10 locations for a single plant.
